Pop ups ads and dodgy redirects.
Re: Pop ups ads and dodgy redirects.
I'm afraid i can't really be of any help i still get the continuous pop-ups when i came here daily, i just keep on clicking them away & eventually they go, i thought i had an ad blocker on turns out i obviously don't, if anyone can recommend a good one i'm all ears. as for the redirects i don't get those
just the pop-ups usually between two to three a day.

Re: Pop ups ads and dodgy redirects.
@scott - I'm pretty untechy, but between 'em the NoScript and Adblock addons seem to keep most things at bay. NoScript is a bit severe and requires permission tweeks but erring on the side of caution suits me.

I've never heard of "ublock". Always good to know of alternatives to adlbockplus so thanks redfive.
<---That's Emma Murphy. And I want to be stuck in her front bottom.
Well, she used to be not on that side before the big change, and now she's, umm, err, not on this side. --->

The easy option is to right click on all links/pictures then open in a new window/tab. Usually works.

Hello and welcome to the forum ntpole. Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. I do usually open links in new tabs, but only 'cos then I can close the tab without having to click backwards when I've finished looking or downloading.
